About Brunton Boatyard

Brunton Boatyard sits on the Fort Kochi waterfront on the site of George Brunton & Sons' 19th-century shipbuilding yard, right beside the Fort Kochi–Vypeen ferry jetty. CGH Earth rebuilt it using period materials such as lime plaster, terracotta and teak, so it reads as a colonial-era warehouse complex rather than a modern hotel. There are only 22 rooms, most of them facing the harbour, where ships and dolphins pass the windows. Guests get a pool, Ayurveda treatments, bicycles for exploring the lanes and a complimentary sunset cruise, and the History restaurant serves dishes traced to Kochi's many trading communities.
