About Rambagh Palace, Jaipur

Rambagh Palace dates to 1835 and served over the years as a royal guesthouse, hunting lodge and later the residence of the Maharaja of Jaipur before becoming a hotel. Today it runs as a Taj palace hotel with 78 rooms and suites set among Mughal-style gardens, marble latticework and sandstone balustrades on Bhawani Singh Road, a short drive south of the walled city. Dining is a big part of the draw: Suvarna Mahal occupies the former ballroom, and Steam is a lounge bar built into a restored railway carriage. Guests also get butler service, a J Wellness Circle spa, indoor and outdoor pools and guided heritage walks through the palace.
